Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas from our family to yours!

We hope you and your loved ones are enjoying time together, celebrating the simple things that matter most!

Before we launch our Sale on Boxing Day, we want to pause and reflect on the last year. We want to thank you for your support of our mission to create fashion that is good for people and the planet. As a People Tree customer, you join with us in providing thousands of families around the world the opportunity to have a path out of poverty. Together we are making change happen in the world.

This year, we became the world’s first fashion brand to earn the new WFTO Fair Trade Product certification. We are proud of this accomplishment, as it reflects years of hard work building a different kind of fashion business.

Over the last year we have partnered with our artisans to pioneer a low-cost plant to remove the waste chemicals used in the fabric dying process from water. We hope this new technology will help thousands of small-scale producers protect people and the environment.
Just last week we embraced another type of new technology. We became the first Fair Trade fashion brand to launch an iPhone app, which you can download on iTunes.

We are proud of our designers and trainers, who work tirelessly to create contemporary, beautifully crafted clothing using natural materials and traditional hand skills. We are passionate about offering you clothing that is fashionable and timeless – the type of garments you will wear for many seasons to come.

This year we launched exciting collaborations with three new designers, Simeon Farrar, Zandra Rhodes and Peter Jensen, in addition to customer favourites Orla Kiely and Zakee Shariff. In Spring 2014, we will launch Atelier – a capsule collection highlighting the incredible skill of our Fair Trade artisans. Check out our launch at London Fashion Week!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  1. Love your fabrics and designs, some of the dresses would benefit from darts rather than pleats to enhance the fit; pleats at waist tend to make me look large around the waist. Also would like dresses just a cm or 2 longer or with hem to alter. Otherwise all lovely.
