Matthew Chambray Shirt in Blue – Was £78 – Now £54
This stylish Chambray shirt is a simple piece that would look great worn with the Jeremy Shorts for a summer barbecue. The chambray material used to make this garment was skilfully hand-woven by women from rural Bangladesh, belonging to a producer group named Swallows. Hand-weaving is a traditional skill which is slowly disappearing, as machines are being brought in to take over the job from these amazing artisans who make a living from this trade.
The name says it all – this shirt is an absolute classic. Made from 100% Organic Cotton Poplin, this is like no other white shirt. Softer than soft, Organic Cotton farming methods allow the farmers to cultivate other produce on their land such as tomatoes, aubergines and millet, due to the lack of harmful chemical substances. By growing these additional crops, the farmers are provided with a secondary source of income and food.
