Here at People Tree HQ we may not agree on everything but one thing we can all agree on is our love of chocolate. Since its world chocolate day (and day-dreaming will only get you so far) We’ve decided to share a fantastic Fair Trade brownie recipe.
You will need:
-80g Chopped Pecan Nuts
-210g Fair Trade Dark Chocolate
-180g Unsalted Butter
-335g Caster Sugar
-140g Plain Flour
-Chopped Pistachio Nuts
First fill a pot with water and heat until it starts to simmer, place a heat proof bowl over the water and stir in your dark chocolate until it begins to melt (making sure the water does not connect with the bottom of the bowl)
Now gradually add your sugar, flour and eggs while stirring until mix becomes thick and consistent. Finally add your chopped pecan nuts!
Gradually scoop your mixture into a baking tray before placing into a preheated oven (170/gas mark 3 should do it) Leave for 30 minutes and decorate with chopped pistachios and caster sugar
