International Women’s Day is this Saturday the 8th of March. What is International Women’s Day? For more than a century, women all around the world have gathered to continue to fight for women’s equality in all aspects of life.

One of the lovely ladies on our Customer Service team told us about a fun event happening this weekend in London. Here are the details…
Lipschtick: A Celebration of Women in Improv
The Nursery Theatre, in conjunction with international improv ensemble C3467X, is commemorating International Women’s Day with a joyous and mirth filled evening celebrating the talent, humour and just downright wonderfulness of women! The event is on Saturday the 8th of March at 7:30 pm and tickets cost £10.
While comedy panel shows and stand-up clubs across the UK are still regarded as male dominated environments, the ladies of improv comedy have been at the helm of the UK improv resurgence. Not only are many of the finest teams female led but these women are inspiring a new generation of students and performers to get on stage and make people laugh. As well as playing host to some of the UK’s finest improvisers we are absolutely delighted to welcome internationally renowned improviser Patti Stiles who will be performing Quotable Women based on your favourite female quotations.
Alongside the love and laughter Lipschtick will also be raising money for Refuge. Refuge is a fantastic charity working tirelessly to assist women and children who are victims of domestic violence. C3467X and the Nursery are proud to be raising money to support this wonderful cause. On the night there will be a charity raffle and silent auction for a selection of fabulous prizes worth over £1000!
Buy a ticket online by clicking HERE and you will be entered into the draw to win a ‘Sparkling Brunch’ compliments of The Table Cafe. Finally, the night is BYO and, with only a £1 corkage fee, this will leave you oodles of money to bid on our fantastic prizes.
