Learn how to make handmade jewellery and the beautiful story behind Bombolulu Workshops

People Tree have partnered with Fair Trade Groups for over 20 years to help them design exquisite quality products, offer technical training, good prices and long term support to help build their Fair Trade business.
As part of the Market Exposure Programme, People Tree’s partner of 20 years, Bombolulu Workshops will visit London to learn about the UK fashion market and their customers.
Bombolulu Workshops works with more than 100 people with physical disabilities from all over Kenya who make beautiful jewellery and crafts from local materials. They run a school from the profits of Fair Trade and an cultural centre.
This year, People Tree launched the Wheelchair Campaign as at least 1,000 children in Kenya living with cerebral palsy or other disabilities in desperate need of wheelchairs. Watch the video.
Fair Trade Jewellery Workshop in E1
Safia Minney, Founder and CEO of People Tree, Esther Mwanyama, Bombolulu General Manager, Julia Warugur, Bombolulu Designer will be running a jewellery making workshop at People Tree on Monday 16th December from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Customers have a unique chance to make a Christmas pair of earrings with for themselves or their loved ones, and enjoy Fair Trade tea or coffee and mince pies.
