In the run up to World Fair Trade Day, we are celebrating their theme, ‘Be an Agent for Change’, by profiling the independent stores who are all, in their own ways, agents of change. Each day this week, we’ll be looking at different stockists that we work with, all of who advocate and work towards a more ethical, more sustainable, and more Fair Trade world.
Today we’re staying in Germany, but moving from Freiburg to Munich.
DearGoods was set up as a response to the concept of love and respect for animals, humans and the environment. Nicole Noli, the owner, only stocks items that are Fair Trade, eco-friendly, and vegan, in order to counteract the injustice and exploitation that goes on worldwide. In Slow Fashion, she says:
“I think eco concept stores like this can change the world. We show that another way is possible – that every single person involved in the production of clothing can be paid and treated fairly. I hope we can set a good example to other stores. Little by little, customers will start to be more aware of this changing world.”
If you’re in Munich, here are Nicole’s top recommendations!
