Our AW17 partywear pieces have now dropped! So it’s time to get your thinking hat on and start planning your Christmas and New Year party looks to avoid the ‘trying on everything on in your wardrobe, with 5 minutes until you have to leave, and disliking everything’ situation. This all black range with beading and gold stitching details is so versatile and multi-functional so you may even be able to get away with wearing the same piece to two different parties- we promise we won’t judge!

Leandra Beaded Top

The Dakota jumpsuit is a personal favourite here at our head office since it is really flattering and the one shoulder detail is so gorgeous! It’s also a great throw-on and out the door option. Try styling with gold jewellery such as Beaded Threader Earrings.

Dakota Jumpsuit

Other pieces feature intricate details such as cold shoulder, contrast beaded necklines and ruffled wide sleeves.

GOTS Certification

Our Electra Top is made by Etfor and uses gold thread for the embroidered cuffs details. The gold thread used is GOTS certified which is particularly hard to get the certification for metallic threads such as these- but with some hard work, we’ve achieved it!

“The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.”-

The GOTS certification’s goal is to define global requirements that ensure for example that garments are produced organically and have passed through processes of environmental and socially responsible manufacture.

Certifications on People Tree clothing and for other sustainable fashion brands are so important since they provide credible assurance to the customer; giving them the piece of mind they can’t get from mass-produced high street fashion or luxury designers in some cases. The certifications are also key for cutting through the ‘greenwashing’ that many multinational companies partake in, separating legitimate sustainable companies from those ‘jumping on the bandwagon.’
